Cepea, August 3 2018 – Corn prices rose in most Brazilian regions surveyed by Cepea in July. Despite the harvesting advance, sellers were retracted from sales, cautious about productivity decreases, mainly in areas from Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, pushing up quotes in the domestic market.
As for purchasers, those with comfortable inventories were postponing new trades, expecting the harvesting to press down quotes; on the other hand, those who had urgent purchasing needs had problems to close trades, due to sellers’ retraction
