Cepea, April 17 2019 – Corn trades were at a slow pace in the Brazilian spot market in the first fortnight of April, and prices dropped. Sellers reduced the volumes to be sold, expecting higher quotes in the offseason period, while purchasers were acquiring small amounts, only to replenish inventories in the short term.
The downward trend of quotes was steeper at supplying regions, such as Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul and Minas Gerais, where harvesting was advancing and increasing the volume available in the market
