Cepea, August 3 2018 – Cotton prices dropped in the Brazilian market in July, pressed down by the 2017/18 harvesting advance and lower bidding prices of some processors for new batches in the spot market. Some processors were trying to acquire only small amounts for prompt delivery, while others were focused on the delivery of the cotton previously purchased, which was still slow.
As for sellers, agents were either accomplishing contracts or active in the spot market
