Cepea, February 3, 2022 – The volume of hydrous ethanol sold in January 2022 by the ethanol plants in São Paulo is the lowest since Jan/2002 (considering only months of January), according to Cepea surveys – in Nov/21, the amount traded was even lower. Compared to that in December 2021, the volume marketed in Jan/22 is 17% lower.
Last month, deals were sporadic in the ethanol market in central-southern Brazil – distributors were buying small amounts in the spot market, with extra contracts for supply in the offseason
