Cepea, December 2, 2021 – After dropping for eight consecutive weeks, corn prices resumed rising in late November at Brazilian ports and in most regions in the interior of the country surveyed by Cepea. At the ports of Santos (SP) and Paranaguá (PR), values were influenced by both the strong dollar and increases in future contracts abroad.
In the interior of Brazil, sellers left the market, expecting prices to rise higher – these agents were aware of the recent valuations and were monitoring rainfall during the month (which was lower than expected, making farmers concerned about the development of the summer crop)
