The Cattle Team works beyond the elaboration of the CEPEA/B3 Index, which is formed by data from São Paulo state. From Monday to Friday, the 11 professionals of the Team (who are supported by other groups at Cepea) gather information with cattle farmers, players from slaughterhouses and cattle purchase and sale offices from other 11 states in Brazil, besides São Paulo (Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Tocantins, Pará, Rondônia, Bahia and Acre). The Team also calculates and releases average prices of male and female animals that are ready to slaughter, calf and lean cattle in 24 important producing regions
