Cepea, November 3 – October was marked by great expectations regarding prices of the milk delivered in September, due to the low price levels in the previous months and the recent decision from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) to interrupt milk powder importations from Uruguay. However, low demand for dairy products by consumers continued to affect the market, leading to the fifth consecutive drop in the milk prices received by growers.
