Cepea, April 20, 2022 – Wheat prices are rising again in the international market, influenced by estimates for higher consumption and lower world stocks in the 2021/22 season. On the other hand, in Brazil, values followed opposite directions in the first fortnight of April: while the prices paid to wheat farmers faded, due to expectations for a larger area with wheat crops in Brazil, in the wholesale market (deals between processors), quotations increased, following international valuations and the dollar appreciation against the Real on some days.
