Cepea, March 19 2019 – Some weeks before the sowing beginning of the new wheat crop in Paraná, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) increased the minimum price set for wheat grain and seeds in the 2019/20 crop (between July/19 and June/20). This rise added to the current wheat prices in the Brazilian spot market (which have been more competitive) may encourage growers to increase the area allocated to wheat crops in Brazil.
Mapa has announced that the minimum wheat price in southern Brazil is now 42
