Cepea, April 17 – Soybean prices, which had been dropping since December/16, resumed increasing in Brazil at the end of the second fortnight of April, pushed up mainly by higher international demand. This scenario could be observed despite the global record crops, including in Brazil, and the ratio between final inventories and total consumption worldwide (for crushing and for animal and human) at the highest level since the 2010/11 season.
The domestic quotes were influenced by the retraction of Brazilian growers as well, which reduced the volume supplied after the domestic prices returned to the lowest levels in five years
