Cepea, September 18 2018 – Hydrous ethanol quotes increased in the market of São Paulo State in the first fortnight of September, reflecting the firm demand at pumps, due to the favorable parity to ethanol. In the second week of the month, however, quotes dropped, pressed down by the need for room in tanks at some refineries, because of the record sugarcane crushing and ethanol production – before starting to decrease, hydrous ethanol prices had increased for four consecutive weeks.
Cepea surveys indicate that the amount of hydrous ethanol sold by the refineries from SP between September 3 and 6 doubled compared to the same week last year
