Cepea, November 21 2018 – The downward trend of ethanol quotes, which started in the second fortnight of October, continued in the first half of November. The price drops were linked to the sales needs of some refineries, which needed cash flow for the expenses related to the crushing end – some mills postponed the crushing end, due to the rains in SP State. Besides, refineires increased the volumes supplied, based on expectations for lower gasoline prices and aiming to ensure sales, since ethanol competitiveness is currently high
