Cepea, April 20, 2022 – Crystal sugar sales were low in the Brazilian market in the first fortnight of April, since stocks are currently low at national sugar mills. As the 2022/23 season has just begun, the production of crystal sugar has not increased much yet, since mills usually produce VHP sugar and ethanol at the beginning of every crop.
Some sugar mills may begin activities in the second fortnight of April, however, agents expect supply to increase significantly only from May onwards
