Cepea, November 17 – Firm demand for quality wheat from Rio Grande do Sul State, mainly from purchasers from Paraná and Santa Catarina, pushed up quotes in the first fortnight of November. Besides, crop failure in Brazil, due to excessive rains in the main developing and maturation stages of the crops, and low wheat supply in Argentina (the main wheat supplier to the Brazilian market) at the harvest beginning also boosted values.
In southern Brazil, from November to May/June, wheat prices tend to rise in PR and SC, compared to quotes in RS
