Cepea, June 16, 2017 – Corn quotes had distinct behaviors among the regions surveyed by Cepea in the first fortnight of June. While in Mato Grosso and Goiás prices dropped sharply, due to the harvesting advance, in Paraná, São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, values reacted, reflecting retraction of sellers in the spot market. This retraction of sellers is linked to a possible quality loss of beans and harvesting delay, due to large amounts of rain in central-southern Brazil and frosts forecast in southern Brazil
